I enjoyed my visit to the Dali museum in Saint Petersburg, FL; I got to see both Frida's and Dali's work in one day. The museum is set up to welcome visitors in a warm environment; you walk into a small but beautiful shop with paraphernalia related both to the current show and to Dali.
Right next to it one walks into a small but stylish cafeteria that offers creative dishes that celebrated in this occasion the Frida exhibit; with Sangria, and Mexican tapas that required creativity. The quality of the Crema Catalana was excellent and definitely restaurant quality; this accompanied by perfect Lavassa espresso, and a free guided tour, set us on our way to a wonderful afternoon of discovery.
The galleries are relatively small but packed with masterworks by Dali; and counterpart in the next room were as many wonderful works by Frida. The museum reminded me of the Gougenheim in design, with open spaces and open views from all floor levels.
Visitors celebrated the exhibit with costumes that resembled Frida and the whole afternoon became enchanting.
